Evening Events
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’ouvres during our two hour Silent Auction that kicks off the evening starting promptly at 6pm. Dinner is highlighted with the presentation of the Unity Award, followed by our Live Auction, then dance the night away on the dance floor until midnight.
What’s New?
Seating! Our seating arrangement this year will be open within groupings of tables instead of at designated tables. When you purchase your ticket you can choose which pre-designated group you would like to sit with, then choose your seat at any table within that group upon arrival in the dining room. This concept is meant to provide a more social setting. Of course, if you prefer to be seated at your own reserved table with a group of friends, that option is still available through our Sponsorship Packages.
BidPal! The Unity Ball begins at 6pm with our Silent Auction utilizing BidPal’s electronic bidding system this year. At registration, you will be given a handheld iPod touch device to use that is pre-loaded with our exciting auction items, allowing you to browse the silent auction area and bid on your personal BidPal from anywhere at any time during the event. Volunteers will be available throughout the auction to assist you with questions.
Artbeat Live! During dinner, watch our entertaining artist create masterpiece paintings in minutes on the dance floor. Can you guess what is being painted? The paintings will be auctioned off during the Live Auction. To learn more about Artbeat Live! or to watch Elliott at work, click here.
What’s Back?
We are bringing back the popular Heads or Tails game which will be played after dinner in the ballroom. Purchase as many strings of beads as you wish and place them one at a time on either your head or your “tail” to express the outcome you expect. The auctioneer will flip a coin and announce if it lands on “heads” or “tails”. If you are correct, remain standing and use that string of beads again. If you are incorrect, remove that strand of beads. When you are our of beads, you are out of the game. The last player standing wins the prize!
Our Golden Ticket raffle returns! For $100 you can buy a ticket for a chance to win your choice of our Live Auction items or $2500 cash. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase and you do not need to be present at the Unity Ball to win. The winner will be announced during our Live Auction.
